Experience:
Catherine grew up in a very artistic household. Her mother Peggy Reid was a well-known visual artist in the greater Glens Falls area. Her grandmother Margaret Sherwood was an artist and her sister Joan Reid is an artist and art teacher.
Catherine started painting about a decade ago. Within 3 months of starting weekly classes with Chris Walton in Glens Falls, her house’s walls were filled with murals. Apparently, she had been incubating for decades. She also took classes at SUNY Adirondack and attends life drawing classes when possible. While more energy is spent on music, she can completely lose track of time while painting, gardening, or composing.
Catherine was the Art director/curator of ARTSPACE at the Hudson River Music Hall for about 6 years, curating and hanging diverse exhibits of work by local as well as NYC-based artists working in all mediums.
